Mr. David Arvin
Color Guard Director

David Arvin took over as the Director of the guard program in the summer 2012, after having worked with the winter programs since 2011 as a choreographer and technician. Originally from Moore, Oklahoma, Mr. Arvin graduated in 2008 from Moore High School and then went on the the University of Central Oklahoma to pursue a dance education degree.
Mr. Arvin was a member of the 2009 Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, and then moved on the the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps in 2010 & 2011. He was also awarded in 2011 as the Drum Corps International Flag Soloist Champion. Since then, Mr. Arvin joined the Blue Knights guard/design team as a choreographer and technician. Mr. Arvin was a member of Eclectix Independent winter guardd in 2008, and was a captain for Central Independent winter guard in 2009; who both competed in the Independent A class at Winter Guard International. He was also on staff with Eclectix Independent in 2012, and 2013 as a choreographer and technician.
Prior to his position at Union, Mr. Arvin was the Guard Director for Southmoore High School from 2009-2012, and has also worked with various other high school programs in the Oklahoma City Metro area, and choreographed for high school's in the Missouri and Texas areas as well.
Mr. Arvin has been named Director of the Year within the Winterguard & Percussion of Oklahoma circuit, where he also led the Union High School Varsity, Junior Varsity, and 8th Grade winter guards to State Championships in his first year. David currently serves the circuit as its President.
