  • SEND-OFF SET FOR NOV. 11

    Please join us on Tuesday, November 11, at 8:00pm in Union's Tuttle Stadium on the campus of Union High School for a special send-off performance of Union High School Marching Band's competitive fieldshow entitled"Caged Bird". This will be the Renegade Regiment's final presentation of the program in Oklahoma for the 2014 season. The group makes its journey to Indianapolis, IN for Bands of America Grand National Championship where the students will compete with nearly one hundred bands nationally.

  • "The Caged Bird" sings sweetly in St. Louis

    LOFTY THIRD PLACE FINISH AT BOA ST. LOUIS SUPER REGIONALS
    The Renegade Regiment 's performance of "The Caged Bird" field show earned a 3rd place finish in the Bands of America Super Regional Championship on Saturday Oct. 18 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.  The Regiment competed against 63 other bands from Arkansas, Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, S. Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas.  We also congratulate our other Tulsa Metro neighbor bands who also competed as Finalists in the competition: Broken Arrow 1st place, Owasso 4th place, and Jenks 13th place.

  • Renegade Regiment Competes at BOA Super Regionals St. Louis

    October 16, 2014 

    The Renegade Regiment will travel to St. Louis on October 17 and 18 to compete in the Bands of America Super Regional Championship at the Edward Jones Dome.  The Regiment's Prelims performance is scheduled for 7:45 pm Friday, with Finals competition beginning at 7pm on Saturday.  The Finals schedule will be determined after completion of Preliminaries at 4pm on Saturday.  For more information, visit the BOA Website.

  • Soaring High at the BAI

    CHAMPS at BROKEN ARROW INVITATIONAL

    The Union HS Marching Band was named Grand Champion of the Broken Arrow Marching Band Invitational  on Saturday, October 4, 2014 with their performance of The Caged Bird.  Competing with several marching bands from around the region, the Renegade Regiment earned the Class 4A Champion in the Preliminary Round, wept the Caption Awards for Outstanding Music, Visual, and General Effect in both rounds, as well as Grand Champion in the Finals Round. The Regiment has earned Grand Champion of this competition each year that they have participated in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2014.

  • REGIMENT CHAMPS IN OWASSO

    RENEGADE REGIMENT CHAMPIONS OF OWASSO MARCHING INVITATIONAL

    The Renegade Regiment's competitive debut of their 2014 show "The Caged Bird" earned the Grand Champion title of the 16th Annual Owasso Marching Invitational on Saturday, September 27.  Competing with 21 other marching bands from around the region, the Renegade Regiment also earned the Finals Caption Awards for Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding General Effect, and Outstanding Percussion, as well as first-place scores and in both the preliminary and final rounds of competition. Congratulations to all of the Regiment students and directors for this great achievement!

  • "A GATHERING PLACE" GROUNDBREAKING PERFORMANCE

    The Union High School Renegade Regiment is scheduled to perform at the groundbreaking event for A Gathering Place for Tulsa, Tulsa's new riverfront park.  It is an honor to be invited to appear at the event; the Kaiser Foundation, the major benefactor of the project, felt that the Union Band best represents the spirit of The Gathering Place and enthusiastically invited us!  The event is scheduled to take place at midday on Saturday, September 20.

  • REDSKIN PRIDE IN TEXAS

    What a thrilling experience our high school marching band students had Sept. 5 in Texas as they marched at halftime in the AT&T Dallas Cowboys' Stadium while the Redskins played an awesome game against SouthlakeCarroll!  It was a magnificent moment to be a part of the Union family, cheering on our team with enthusiasm, and representing our community with excellence – TRULY a GREAT day to be a Union Redskin!

  • YouthArts! Cavalcade of Bands

    April 22, 2014 

    Please come out & support the students of the Union Bands as they participate in Union Public Schools' 35th-Annual YouthArts! Festival. Band students in grades 6-12 will perform in the Union Cavalcade of Bands, a mass concert at the UMAC Arena on Tuesday, April 22, 7pm

    In conjunction with the concert, we are having a food drive for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Attendees and patrons are encouraged to bring non perishable canned food items.  There will be boxes located in the UMAC..

  • Renegade Round Up 2014

    February 18, 2014 

    The Annual Union Bands Renegade Round Up will be held on Thursday, February 20th at the Union High School South Commons, Performing Arts Center, and Gymnasium.  We hope you will come out and join us for this event.  The meal begins at 6:00pm on a prepaid ticket basis, and then around 7pm all three of Union's High School Concert Bands will be performing in the UPAC, and winter guards & indoor percussion following in the gym.

    Eighty-two Union Band students from the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth grades will represent us at the NBDA Junior High All District Honor Band Clinic in Claremore this weekend.  Clinics will be held Friday and Saturday,  with the honor concert scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Claremore High School PAC.  Please join us in congratulating these fine young musicians as they represent Union with excellence!
