The UBPC Board of Directors is a group of volunteer Union Bands parents committed to working together to support and facilitate the Directors and Students in the Union Bands program.

We are looking to fill vacant positions for the 2025-2026 year (June 2025 - May 2026) for Director, Coordinator, Team/Committee Member and Key Volunteer roles.

A few of the specific roles in need are the following:

Fundraising Coordinator(s) - For both Student Account Direct fundraisers and General All-Band Fundraisers
First Aid Coordinator
Volunteer Coordinator - Assist with recruiting and organizing volunteers throughout the year
Communications Director - Assist and facilitate communications to parents and families throughout the year (email, social media, etc)

We are implementing COMMITTEES for the 2025-2026 year. These committees are expected to meet regularly together, collaborate on their specific goals, communicate with other UBPC Directors and Coordinators if applicable, and help support a smooth and balanced workload for all volunteers. 2025-26 UBPC Board and Key Volunteers Application

Calling all Parents, Alumni, and Community Patrons to do your part to help make the Union Band a great organizations for kids! The simplest way to get started is by joining the Union Band Parents Club as a member, then by renewing annually.

How are membership funds used?

Funds gained through memberships support the UBPC general fund, which helps keep student participation fees as low as possible. Funds are used to pay for software systems, supplies, professional administrative services, and various other expenses.

What do the UBPC members do?

UBPC members are mostly parents that want the best band experience for their students. The band parent/UBPC member experience is different for everyone, depending on the amount of time each person has available to commit. Generally speaking, members volunteer, attend UBPC meetings, fundraise, watch practices together, help with special events, travel with the band, chaperone on trips, provide hospitality for judges and other events, make friends with other parents and cheer on the band. UBPC members are there to answer questions (especially for 1st year marching band students – yikes!) and support you when your student graduates (try not to think about it – it will be here before you know it!)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are the life-blood of the Union Bands. Parents, Alumni, and other interested Community Patrons: We would LOVE for you to be involved as a volunteer!

There are numerous opportunities to volunteer and be involved with Union Bands: Feeding the band prior to games, chaperoning at away games and band trips, providing snacks to your student’s section, donating food for hospitality events, and much more. Volunteer opportunities and sign ups will be discussed at the RR Kick Off and Meet the Regiment Family Picnic. Throughout the year, newsletters and text reminders will be sent out as pertinent.

SIGN UP FOR YOUR RENEGADE REVIEW SHIFT

It is important that every renegade regiment student has at least ONE family member representative sign up for a shift for our annual renegade review competition on Saturday, October 11th. Without your participation, our largest general fundraiser of the year could never happen. We pride ourselves on hosting one of the BEST Oklahoma Marching Band competitions in the region and have thousands of performers and spectators attend. Please sign up NOW for your Shift and consider Shifts TWO and THREE as those are our hardest to fill and the biggest need!

A deposit envelope should be completely filled out when making a payment in on of the Band Offices. Cash payments should always be signed for by the director, and a photocopy receipt of the envelope form should be requested by the payer.
