Union Bands Unity Campaign
The Union Bands Program, a key part of the Union School District's Fine Arts community, has inspired pride and dedication among students and families. However, as the district has grown, financial challenges have become pressing, especially for economically disadvantaged students.
Current Situation:
As of July 2024, 80% of Union School District students are economically disadvantaged, qualifying for free or reduced-cost meals.
70% of students in Union Bands Programs (grades 6-12) face economic challenges.
Despite financial hurdles, Union Band students have achieved a 100% graduation rate since 2020.
Unity Campaign
Duration: August 2024 - December 2026
Goal: Raise $750,000 to reduce costs for students participating in Fine Arts activities like the Renegade Regiment Marching Band, Jazz Band, Winter Guard, and Indoor Percussion.
Need: Annual costs exceed $6,000 per student, covered by families and volunteer fundraising, not by school district funds or bonds.
Call to Action: Join us in the "Unity Campaign" to support our young musicians. Your contribution will directly impact students' lives, allowing them to participate fully in these enriching programs despite financial constraints.
Thank you for your consideration and potential partnership.
