Indoor Drumline FLIES HIGH IN Hot Springs

The Union H.S. Indoor Drumline’s 2025 competitive season is off to a great start, including a 1st Place Finish at the WGPO Circuit event held at Broken Arrow HS in February, as well as being crowned Class Champion of the recent WGI Hot Springs (AR) Regional event. The ensemble’s competitive season culminates at the WGI World Championship, held in Dayton, Ohio in mid-April. The Union Indoor Drumline earned the World Championship Silver Medal at its most recent WGI participation in 2023, and aims to continue its momentum in 2025 with a brilliant program entitled β€œLearning to Fly”.

Drumline Takes Silver in Dayton

The Union H.S. Indoor Drumline returned from Dayton, Ohio on Sunday afternoon after performing in three rounds of the World Championship of competitive drumlines on Thursday/Friday/Saturday, bringing home a Silver Medal!  Participating alongside 200+ ensembles from around the country, and competing against 41 other ensembles in the WGI Percussion Scholastic Open Classification, Union finished in 3rd Place in the Preliminary Round & 2nd  Place in the Semifinal Round, and earned a Final score of 96.775, including a perfect 100 in the Musicianship-Effect category of adjudication. After nearly 30 years of participation in WGI marching events, 2023 marks Union’s strongest-ever finish and its first-ever medal. The Union Redhawks community extends warmest congratulations to the student performers, teaching staff, creative designers, & support team volunteers on a monumental accomplishment!
