INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF PERFORMERS
This concert is required for all 7th grade band students. Their participation at the concert is the Finals Test grade for the first semester.
The students will need to arrive before 6:30 pm. We will warm up the bands at 6:30 pm. So, they will need to be in their seats with their instruments ready to play at 6:30PM. Please remember to be on time and take any traffic issues into account when leaving to come to the UPAC. Please be aware that 71st Street & Mingo is a very busy intersection.
To drop off students, enter the campus from Mingo between the UMAC and Sam’s Club. Students will enter the UPAC building from the UHS south doors. They will then be guided by signs and other directors on which way to go to warm up. The audience will remain in the UPAC lobby and will be allowed in for seating closer to the concert start time. Students will remain at the concert for both bands’ performances. Students will not be allowed to leave until the end of the concert.
All band students are required to wear a performance attire. Please begin acquiring the necessary concert attire now to avoid any last-minute problems. Students who are not dressed according to the dress code may not be allowed to perform.
