WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13

  • 7:00pm Band Building unlocked

    • Store luggage in band rooms / hallway

  • 7:30pm Section Circles / Candlelight Ceremonies for Brasses/Woodwinds/Guard

    • Various campus spaces TBD

  • 9:00pm Team Meeting in BR1

  • 9:15pm Load Buses

    • Wind instruments (except tubas) in bus luggage bays. Flute and clarinet cases stored in bus cabin.

    • Suitcase/duffle stored in bus luggage bays. Backpack or smaller bag in bus cabin.

  • 9:45pm Departure

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14

  • SWITCH TO EASTERN STANDARD TIME

  • 8:00am Breakfast served. Chick-Fil-A. Terre Haute, IN

  • 8:45am Depart Breakfast location for Indianapolis

  • 10:00am Arrive at Lucas Oil Stadium: Brief Arena Overview, Souvenir Shopping, Watch bands

    • BACKPACKS cannot be brought into the stadium!

  • 11:00am Load buses and depart for Rehearsal

  • 11:45am Arrive at Grand Park facility: UNLOAD for REHEARSAL

  • 12:30pm Rehearsal

  • 2:30pm Load Trucks

    • Loading Crew winds: your instruments stay on the truck

  • 2:45pm Lunch

  • 3:30pm Load Buses

  • 3:45pm Depart Rehearsal location to hotel

  • 4:30pm Arrive Hotel & Check In / Shower

  • 5:45pm Load buses and depart to dinner

  • 6:30pm Arrive Greenwood Mall: Dinner at Dave & Buster’s

  • 8:30pm Load buses & depart to hotel

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15

  • 6:30am Depart hotel to downtown Indianapolis

  • 7:00am Arrive Indianapolis Convention Center (“ICC”)

    • Take everything needed for the performance

    • Take instrument case into ICC

    • Dress into costume + show hair

  • 7:40am Percussion and Loading Crew Walk to Lucas Oil Stadium Parking Lot on foot

  • 8:00am All others depart for Lucas Oil Stadium on foot

  • UNLOAD TRUCKS & ORGANIZE PROPS / BLOCKERS

  • 8:50am Ramp

    • SW Ramp/Tunnel: Battery, Front Ensemble, Audio, Guard, and all others not moving sets/props/blockers

    • Missouri St Ramp: All Sets/Props/Blockers

  • 9:00-9:30am Pit Warmup [Area TBA]

  • 12:45pm depart ICC on foot to mall for lunch at food court

    • Lunch: cash distribution provided

  • 1:45pm Gather at designated are in the mall. Walk to Stadium

  • 2:15pm Attend Jenks HS performance

  • 2:30-5:30pm

    • Watch performances

    • Attend Semis Awards Ceremony

Parents who wish to check their child out must email travel@unionbands.com ahead of time.  After the student is out of uniform and all responsibilities have been fulfilled, please check the student out with their director and sign them off of the bus roster with their appointed bus captain.

  • 8:15am Breakfast stop at Buccee’s Springfield MO

  • 9:00am Depart Breakfast Location

  • 11:45am Arrive at Union High School

    • Instruments except tubas, battery percussion, front ensemble percussion, and audio will be unloaded form buses then stowed in band lockers as usual

OVERNIGHT PARKING ON CAMPUS

If planning to park your vehicle on campus throughout the duration of the trip, please park in the UHS Visitors (northeast) parking lot.
