Food Allergies/Dietary Restrictions
Meal plans are being set for the first football game, and we want to make sure that everyone has safe food to eat!
Questions? Please contact Katie Geier at foodallergies@unionbands.com
It is our desire to take great care of our Union Bands members at all times, and we want to make sure there is safe food to eat at every snack and meal with us. In order for us to accommodate a food allergy or dietary restriction of any kind (this includes vegetarians/vegans, and those who follow religious guidelines regarding food, but should not be used for foods that are simply disliked) you MUST UPDATE CHARMS TO LET US KNOW. If you have not indicated any special dietary needs in CHARMS, we have no way of knowing and will not have alternative foods at snack/mealtime. This is incredibly important, especially when we are traveling.
*For a peanut allergy, please indicate in CHARMS if meals from Chick-fil-A can be eaten or not. Chick-fil-A uses peanut oil in their fryers.
For example, FOOD ALLERGIES: All Tree Nuts/Peanuts, cannot eat CFA.
To update information in CHARMS, log in to your/your student’s account. From the HOME page, click on the icon that says UPDATE INFO. Once on the STUDENT INFO page, fill in the box next to FOOD ALLERGIES. Be sure to click the green UPDATE button at the bottom of the page when you are finished.
If there is a food allergy situation that requires special attention, please feel free to contact Katie Geier, UBPC Food Allergy Coordinator, at foodallergies@unionbands.com to discuss your concerns.

VOLUNTEER TO BE A SECTION PARENT
The Section Parent Coordinator organizes the efforts of the parents within their student's section to support the section by assisting in uniform dressing before each game and competition, preparing a comfortable place for them to rest and bond in our competition tent cities (with shade tents, chairs, drinks, etc.), encouraging bonding activities outside of the regular schedule, encouraging communications within the parent group, and generally supporting the efforts of the staff, UBPC, and the student leadership in making the section a positive environment and a success.
Build your band account balance this month through Drillers, "Raise Right" (formerly "Shop for Scripts"), work at Palen, and Tuttle Concessions! Get ready for our fall sales fundraisers coming soon! DRILLERS OPPORTUNITIES
There are still wonderful fundraising opportunities at OneOk Field this summer for your band account! There are plenty of Drillers and FC Tulsa games remaining on the schedule this season. If you volunteer to work at one of the concession stands, you will make money for your Charms account. The Drillers will pay you $45 PER VOLUNTEER for every game you work. This is easy money and a great way to raise funds without the pressure of selling something to your friends or family.
Plus if transportation is an issue, we now have the ability to coordinate a bus if enough volunteers need a ride to OneOk Field! Click the link below for more information:
